In the last decade, numerous studies have been carried out to evaluate the potential anthelmintic benefit of the consumption of bioactive plants in small ruminants, in order to reduce the dependence on conventional chemotherapy and supporting a sustainable control of gastrointestinal parasitism.

The 3rd CAPARA WGs Workshop & MC Meeting
was organized by the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology and Food Science, Cyprus University of Technology, in Limassol, 10 to 12 November, 2011
The meeting was attended by approx. 70 international participants and according to each one of them it was a great success both scientifically and socially !!!
I would really like to thank Dr Ouranios Tzamaloukas (our MC member and Local Organizer) and all the people who supported him for the excellent job!
To my opinion the best part of the meeting was the dynamic participation of our large group of young researchers whose opinion is of great value ......

Second CAPARA Training School: “Anthelmintic resistance from fecal egg count reduction test to pyro-sequencing”. April 3-6, 2011 Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University, Merelbeke, Belgium
The Second CAPARA Training School: “Anthelmintic resistance from fecal egg count reduction test to pyro-sequencing” took place from 3rd to 6th April 2011 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Ghent University, Merelbeke, Belgium.
21 participants from 14 countries attended the 2nd Training School.
The Training School was perfectly organized by the teachers of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Hospitality and kindness was great and I enjoyed it very much. I think I can post this statement for all participants.

The meeting took place in Sandnes/Norway at the Department of Production and Animal Clinical Sciences of the Norwegian School for Veterinary Science. The meeting was attended by 19 participants from 7 different countries. All presentations by the invited speakers gave a lot of useful information about disease relevant aspects and problems emerging from that.

Report of the 2nd CAPARA Working Groups Workshop and Management Committee Meeting – 29.09.-01.10.2010;

The meeting held from 29.09. to 01.10 2010 in Stara Lesna, Slovakia. The location was perfect, the Conference facilities were excellent and I believe all of us (around 60 participants) enjoyed science, nature and social activities.
I would like to take this opportunity to especially THANK Marian Varady and all the Slovakian Team for the excellent organisation.

The 1st training school under CAPARA (COST Action FA0805) was held from 10–15 May 2010 in Eboli, Italy.
The training school which had as a main subject: “Diagnosis of GI strongyles in goats: from the animal to the lab” was held in CReMoPAR (Centro Regionale per il Monitoraggio delle Parassitosi) in Eboli around an hour drive away from Napoli.
